Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Grow Magnet Ltd uses personal data collected through Slough Decorators.
Who is responsible for your data
Grow Magnet Ltd, company number 16221056, is the controller for this website and your enquiry. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Contact [email protected] about this policy or your data rights.
When we introduce you to an independent contractor, that contractor becomes a separate controller for their subsequent use of your information, including assessing, quoting for and carrying out the job. Ask them for their privacy information where needed.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, telephone number, email address, postcode, property or job details, messages, enquiry source, communication history, contractor-introduction record, call metadata and, where a call is recorded, the call audio. We also receive ordinary technical logs such as IP address, browser, device and page-request information.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to respond, understand the job, select and introduce a suitable local decorator, administer the introduction, prevent misuse, keep the service secure, resolve complaints and meet legal or accounting obligations.
Our lawful basis for handling a requested enquiry and introduction is legitimate interests: you have asked for help finding a contractor, and the processing is necessary and proportionate to provide that service. We use consent only for genuinely optional marketing, where offered; you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Calls
Calls may be recorded for accuracy, quality assurance, training, fraud prevention and handling complaints. The initial call notice directs callers to this full policy.
Who receives information
We share the enquiry with the independent contractor we introduce. We may also use service providers for website hosting, forms, communications, call handling, customer records, security, analytics that are actually enabled, professional advice and regulatory compliance. They receive only what is needed for their role and are subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.
International storage and safeguards
Some service providers may process data outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires it, we use an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards and assess supplementary protections as appropriate.
How long we keep it
From this policy’s publication date, call audio is normally kept for 90 days. Enquiries that do not convert are normally kept for 12 months after the last activity. Accounting, commission and other legally necessary records may be kept for up to six years. We keep information longer only for an active complaint or legal claim, or another documented legal requirement.
Cookies and similar technology
This website does not currently use non-essential cookies or tracking that requires consent. Essential storage may still be used to operate, secure or remember necessary website functions. We will update this policy and request consent where required before introducing non-essential tracking.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing at any time. We may need to verify your identity and may lawfully refuse or limit a request in some cases.
You can complain first to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service, suppliers or legal requirements change.
